1. Project Assessment & Technical Consultation
We begin every project with a thorough understanding of your application. Our technical team evaluates working pressure, media type, operating temperature, and design standards (ASME, API, DIN, etc.) to propose the most suitable forging solutions. Whether for pressure-containing parts or structural components, we provide expert guidance to reduce risk and improve service life.
2. Material Selection & Traceability Planning
In petrochemical environments, material integrity is critical. We select from a wide range of high-grade materials such as ASTM A105, A182 F22, F91, F316L, or custom nickel alloys depending on corrosion resistance, high-temperature strength, or hydrogen service compatibility. All materials are 100% traceable with MTCs (Mill Test Certificates) and comply with NACE, PED, or customer-specific specs.
3. Forging Engineering & Die Design
Using advanced simulation software, we design forging dies and process parameters to optimize internal grain flow, minimize stress concentration, and ensure compliance with pressure vessel standards. Our process supports open-die, closed-die, and ring forgings for a wide variety of petrochemical components including flanges, nozzles, tube sheets, forged blocks, and necked rings.
4. Controlled Forging Process
LONGCHAO operates heavy-duty forging equipment capable of producing parts up to 10 tons. The forging process is strictly monitored by experienced technicians, ensuring uniform deformation, correct temperature profiles, and precise dimension control. Our expertise guarantees superior mechanical properties and metallurgical consistency.
5. Heat Treatment & Post-Forging Processing
We apply customized heat treatment processes such as quenching & tempering, solution annealing, or normalizing to meet your mechanical and metallurgical requirements. For critical applications, we conduct post-weld heat treatment (PWHT) readiness processing. Precision machining (rough or final) is also available upon request.
6. Testing, Certification & Quality Assurance
Every petrochemical forging undergoes rigorous quality inspection, including:
Ultrasonic Testing (UT) for internal flaws
Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) and Dye Penetrant Testing (PT) for surface cracks
Mechanical testing (tensile, impact, hardness)
Chemical analysis and microstructure examination
We issue complete documentation packages including EN10204 3.1/3.2 certificates, NDE reports, and customer inspection reports where required.
7. Packing, Delivery & Lifecycle Support
Each forging is treated for anti-corrosion (e.g., rust-proof oil or vacuum seal) and packed securely in export-grade wooden cases. We provide shipping support worldwide and collaborate with EPC contractors, OEMs, and end-users for coordinated delivery timelines.
